The first-ever wXgp festival landed at Altus Reservoir in Altus, Oklahoma, June 26–28, and it set the tone for what the series is about: real racing and a real festival on the same shoreline.
On the water
Racers competed for more than $16,500 in payouts across classes in closed-course racing, plus freestyle exhibitions and a slalom competition. The class structure is built to give new riders an entry point while keeping experienced racers challenged.
On the shore
Tied to America's 250th birthday, the weekend added live music, fireworks, a drone show and family activities, so the event works for fans as well as racers.
Altus was round one of three in 2026, followed by the Beach Bash at Little Elm Park, Texas (July 31–August 2) and the Full Moon Festival at Lake Crook in Paris, Texas (August 28–30).
