Professional personal watercraft racing has a new home. IHRA announced the IHRA Pro Watercraft Racing Series, debuting in 2026 with a $250,000 purse for stand-up and runabout competition.
Who's running it
Racing legend Dustin Farthing serves as managing director, with Thomas Covington leading strategy and commercial operations and IHRA owner Darryl Cuttell backing the effort. Select rounds run alongside IHRA Offshore Powerboat events, with live streaming and digital coverage built in.
Built by racers, for racers
That's how Farthing describes the series, and it's the same idea wXgp was founded on. As an official IHRA Pro Watercraft regional partner, wXgp gives racers in Oklahoma and Texas a festival-style path into the IHRA system.
